Performed first the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and then at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2011, Jackson Voorhaar Can’t Play Guitar is a show about music, sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll (also Satanism – after all The Devil has always had the best tunes!)
Predominantly straight stand-up but also some storytelling and an innovative new take on musical comedy with lashings of rock!
Press/nice things about this show:
“Hilarious… Jackson Voorhaar may not be able to play guitar, but he certainly rocks”
- The Herald Sun (Melbourne)
“The bastard offspring of Eddie Izzard and Noel Fielding… an entertaining young comic”
- Three Weeks (Edinburgh)
“A genuinely charming and self-deprecating performance… never anything but immensely enjoyable”
- The Skinny (Edinburgh)
“A very funny comic who just wants to be a comedian. not an actor, not a news reader, just a very funny comedian. 5 stars”
- Greg Fleet
“A really enjoyable night for metal heads and pop fans alike”
-Rhum.org.au (Melbourne)
